IT training of teachers is progressing well!
Right after the Smart Classroom was set up at Ecole Primaire Juru in October 2022, IT training began. The more than 20 teachers can now all use the laptops.
The IT training took place in two waves. In the first wave, all teachers were trained. In the second wave, the experienced IT trainer is teaching further skills and also the curriculum to the teachers who are to give IT lessons to their students themselves. The IT training will continue for the foreseeable future, and the IT trainer is also available as a coach. The teachers can access online material provided by the Rwanda Basic Education Board.
The school has a 4G internet router with unlimited data volume. In July 2023, the internet infrastructure will be taken over by the Rwanda Basic Education Board and further improved. A connection to the very fast internet is under negotiation.
IT classes for 4th, 5th and 6th graders have now started.
English lessons for teachers will also be offered from April 2023.
